Rigging and Flying Instructions for BASSBOSS Loudspeakers
Caution:
This article describes the best practices for flying BASSBOSS products. Note that not all models include flypoints - models such as the DJ18S without flypoints are not intended to be flown. Be sure to follow all relevant safety guidelines in your area and hire a qualified rigger if you are unsure how to safely fly loudspeakers. Accidents due to improper flying can result in death, and BASSBOSS is not responsible for injury or fatalities due to improper flying!

What to do when flying your BASSBOSS Loudspeaker?
- BASSBOSS Loudspeakers can be flown with side-pull anchors or shoulder eyebolts, depending on how you wish to fly them:
- If using side-pull anchors:
- We recommend replacing the included M10x25mm flat head socket cap screws with M10 x 40-50mm button head socket cap screws to attach the side-pull anchors
- The benefits of using side-pull anchors is that you can get a cabinet closer to the ceiling, as shoulder eyebolts will stick out above the cabinet.
- We recommend using side-pull anchors when flying subs near a ceiling and near a rear boundary
- Side-pull anchors are typically more popular for flying subs
- If using M10 shoulder eyebolts
- Replace the included M10x25mm flat head socket cap screws with M10 shoulder eyebolts at the locations in which you want to fly the cabinet
- We recommend using a shoulder eyebolt if flying the speaker from above or at a slight angle.
- Shoulder eyebolts are typically more popular for flying tops
- Use 4 of the included M10 threaded mounting points when flying your BASSBOSS subs and large format tops like the Krakatoa, and at least 2 when flying BASSBOSS tops
What NOT to do when flying your BASSBOSS Loudspeaker:
- Do NOT fly your cabinet from the handles
- Do NOT drill or screw into cabinets to attach lifting points
- Do NOT fly cabinets by any other mechanism than the factory installed, internally secured M10 fly points
Maintaining your flown product:
- Check the security/tightness of all load-bearing fasteners regularly.
- Check all hardware for visible signs of wear and tear, and replace when necessary.
