MK3, ControlBASS & PredictBASS

Programming a blank/overwritten MK3 DSP

Here is the procedure for re-loading the settings file:

  1. Download the Recovery file to your computer (attached, along with the newest settings file, which will be loaded after the recovery process).
  2. Download and install the new software.
  3. Connect the amplifier to the computer via an ethernet cable (Cat5 or Cat6 with RJ45 connectors)  -OR-
  4. Connect the computer via WiFi to a router
  5. AND Connect the amplifier to that router via an ethernet cable (The amplifier and the computer must be on the same network)
  6. Open the software. You will see a window that says ControlBASS and the BASSBOSS logo.
  7. Wait for the unit to appear in the Control Center software window. Click the green arrow to the right of the displayed IP address.
  8. This will open the Device Window
  9. With the device window active, from the menu bar, select FILE then LOAD FACTORY SETTINGS
  10. A warning will appear stating that all the presets in the unit will be updated.
  11. Click OK
  12. Select the file included in the email from your downloads folder (recovery file).
  13. The full erase and replace process will take about a minute and a half, after which the DSP will reboot. Do not disconnect or power the amp down during the process.
  14. When the “Finished” box appears, click "OK"
  15. The amp should then reappear in the ControlBASS window.
The unit will identify as in recovery for that model and it will remain muted.
Now update to the new settings file for your model.
