When replacing a driver, do I need to solder the connections?
BASSBOSS always uses drivers with the push-to-release system but the other types are made and sold (see photos below - the first image is of BASSBOSS standard connectors. The second image is the type which requires this solution). If you get a service replacement drivers with the incorrect connectors, it's an easy fix.
The connection to those is best done using a 1/4” Faston connector. Those are crimped onto the end of the wire and don’t require any soldering. The connectors can be purchased at hardware stores or online.

A proper crimp tool, something like this, and a good, hard squeeze is also required.
