Loading Factory Settings and Updates with ControlBASS software (Preliminary software release)

The procedure is as follows:

1. Install the software. (Mac and Windows versions are supported)

2. Connect the computer to the amplifier via an ethernet cable (Cat5 or Cat6 with RJ45

connectors) -OR- Connect the computer via WiFi to a router AND

3. Connect the amplifier to that router via an ethernet cable (The amplifier and the computer

must be on the same network)

4. Open the software. You will see a window that says Control Center and the BASSBOSS

logo.

5. With the amp connected and powered on, wait for the speaker to appear in the Control

Center software window.

6. Click the green arrow to the right of the displayed IP address.

7. This will open the Device Window

9. Select FILE then LOAD FACTORY SETTINGS (A warning will appear stating that all the

presets in the unit will be updated.)

10. Click “OK”

11. Select the file specific to the loudspeaker being updated (most likely in your DOWNLOADS

folder) Click “OPEN”

12. The process will start by erasing the old data and then will display numbers of “packets”

being loaded. Do not interrupt this process until the “Finished” box appears… then…

13. IMMEDIATELY after the “Finished” box appears, POWER OFF THE LOUDSPEAKER

14. You can then power the speaker back on and confirm all functions of the cabinet.

If you plan to update multiple speakers, close and reopen the software between reprogramming

cabinets because the new unit will be discovered immediately when the software is opened.
