MK3 ControlBASS programming update process

To update programming in MK3 models via ControlBASS follow these steps:

1. Download and Install the ControlBASS software  You can find download links here:
  1. For Mac
  2. For PC
2.  Download the latest update file (it will have extension .ffi) corresponding to your loudspeaker.  You can find the latest update files here.

3. Connect the computer to the amplifier via an ethernet cable (Cat5 or Cat6 with RJ45
connectors) -OR- Connect the computer via WiFi to a router, and plug the amplifier into the router directly via an ethernet cable.

4.  Power on your loudspeaker.

5. Open the ControlBASS application that you installed in Step 1. You will see a window with the BASSBOSS
logo.

6.  With the amp connected and powered on, wait for the speaker to appear in the Control Center software window.

7.  Click the green arrow to the right of the displayed IP address.  This will open the Device Window

8.  With the Device Window selected, click FILE then select LOAD FACTORY SETTINGS.

9. A warning will appear stating that all the presets in the unit will be updated. Click “OK”

10. Select the file specific to the loudspeaker being updated (most likely in your DOWNLOADS
folder) Click “OPEN”

11. The process will start by erasing the old data and then will display numbers of “packets”
being loaded. Do not interrupt this process until the “Finished” box appears.

12.  When the finished box appears, click "OK".

13. Power off the loudspeaker by disconnecting the True1 power cable and wait several seconds.

14. You can then power the speaker back on and confirm all functions of the cabinet.

If you plan to update multiple speakers, close and reopen the software between reprogramming
cabinets because the new unit will be discovered immediately when the software is opened.
