Loading Factory Settings and Updates with ControlBASS software (Preliminary software release)

The procedure is as follows:
  1. Download the .ffi settings file for the unit to be updated to your computer.
  2. Download and Install the software.
  3. Connect the amplifier in the unit to be updated to the computer via an ethernet cable (Cat5 or Cat6 with RJ45 connectors)  -OR-
  4. Connect the computer via WiFi to a router AND
  5. Connect the amplifier the unit to be updated to that router via an ethernet cable (The amplifier and the computer must be on the same network)
  6. Open the software. You will see a window that says ControlBASS and the BASSBOSS logo.
  7. Wait for the unit to appear in the Control Center software window. Click the green arrow to the right of the displayed IP address. This will open the Device Window.
  8. With the device window active, from the menu bar, select FILE then LOAD FACTORY SETTINGS
  9. A warning will appear stating that all the presets in the unit will be updated.
  10. Click OK
  11. Select the file for the model you are updating from your downloads folder.
  12. The full erase and replace process will take about a minute and a half, after which the DSP will reboot.
  13. IMPORTANT - Do not disconnect the data cable or power the amp down during the process. Update only one cabinet at a time.
  14. When the “Finished” box appears, click "OK"
  15. The amp should then reappear in the ControlBASS window. 
If you plan to update multiple speakers, close and reopen the software between reprogramming cabinets because the new unit will be discovered immediately when the software is opened.
